Are You Playing Too Small?
Why Are You Doing All of That?
I've been asked that more times than I can count.
Mostly because I ask it of myself a lot. Then I ask it again, just to make sure I have the real answer. And for good measure, I may ask myself four or five more times.
Sometimes I discover I'm doing something that is taking me off course. Sometimes I stay blind to the fact that I'm a little lost—because I can't see past my own judgments of what I'm capable of.
This is why having a mentor, coach, guide, or accountability partner is so important. Someone who can help you take off your blindfold and see past the turn in the road. Having this support system in my life has helped me move along faster.
A Life-Changing Perspective Shift
Last week, I spent two days with Chris Wilson and his team at Group Coach Nation. I met some incredible people from around the world, and between the information presented and the short mastermind sessions, I feel like I've become a whole new person.
They gently led me so far outside my comfort zone that by the time I noticed, I realized I wasn't sure I could get back to it.
And that was a good thing.
My perspective had changed so much because I realized something crucial: I had been carrying around deeply ingrained beliefs—the kind that play on repeat in the background of your life like a persistent earworm.
I had been actively working on overcoming these beliefs on my own last year, but without an outside perspective, I would still be stuck. I didn’t fully understand what was holding me back, so I wasn’t having the right conversations with my mentors.
With just this one missing puzzle piece—a bold and challenging new perspective—I made a complete shift in four days.
I Wasn’t Thinking Big Enough
I thought I was playing big and on the right track. But I wasn’t thinking big enough to create the impact I dream of in the music industry.
Why not?
Because I had accepted other people’s limits on what’s possible. I had also placed my own limits based on past mistakes—forgetting that my mistakes are the very lessons I needed to grow to the next level.
I was taking the long way around because I was afraid of something that wasn’t real.
I thought maybe I could just go around the “forest of fear” and find a more comfortable path. But let me tell you—it’s as comfortable as sitting in a traffic jam for 12 hours in a snowstorm.
Now, I can see clearly: that path would take forever, and I don’t have time to waste.
A Faster Path to Impact
It is my mission to serve musicians by guiding them on their own path to musical prosperity.
I’m narrowing my focus and experimenting with playing much bigger to make an impact faster.
Right now, I’m in the research stage and looking for high-performing music producers who want to collaborate effortlessly with artists to build:
✅ A lasting music legacy
✅ Sustainable prosperity
If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear your perspective.
💡 I have a 3-question survey to help with my research. Link to Survey

Are you thinking big enough to have the impact you desire?
